We May Have Lost But This Is One Night I'll Never Forget

First and foremost, Happy 2010! (That's Two-Thousand-Ten none of this "Twenty-Ten" hoop-la).

For those of you that don't know, we spent the last night of 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia routing on the University of Tennessee at the annual Chick-Fil-A Bowl! We had a heck of a time getting down to ATL but once we made it to the game (with two minutes to spare before kick-off), the fun commenced.

It was a family affair, nine seats in total (on the 50 yard line none-the-less), we took up nearly half of an entire row. We ranted, raved and cheered the night away. Even though we lost (37-14) the game was one to never forget (especially since it was my first UT game!).

We spent our New Year's night at the Ritz-Carlton in downtown Atlanta and made it back to the hotel just in time to watch the ball drop while fireworks went off which we watched from our hotel window. Anthony and I were surprised with a special treat of complimentary champagne and chocolates, it was the perfect way to celebrate the new year while we put 2009 behind us (including the loss of that game :p).

We explored the hotel late that night and saw one of the most beautiful Christmas trees we had ever seen (which shockingly was gone this morning). Breakfast in bed was a treat as well!

Getting home today was a lot smoother than getting to Atlanta. We had some spare time to actually stop by Krystal's and get our fix until the next time we go to Tennessee!

Whilst at the gate we ran into Justin, our friend in Raleigh, coming home from Florida and we all happened to be on the same flight just a row apart. What a small world.

We're fixing to head over to my parents' now to pick up Blacks and for New Years dinner (with our once a year picking of Black Eyed Peas, ick :p).

Here are some photos (and a video at the bottom of kick off) from last night..... enjoy and Happy New Year!!
